Peer-Review Germany 2024
The second national EQAVET peer review of the German Reference Point for Quality Assurance in Vocational Education and Training (DEQA-VET) took place at BIBB on 25 and 26 June. Ten European colleagues - peers - from five EU member states (Greece, Austria, Portugal, Spain, Czech Republic) worked with the support of experts on the question of how the qualification of in-company training personnel in initial and continuing vocational education and training can be quality-assured as well as possible.
In-company training personnel play a central role in the success of upcoming transformation processes in companies, whose employees have higher qualification requirements in view of accelerated knowledge and innovation developments. In-company training personnel can moderate and help shape these processes in various roles and fields of activity in the professional context.
This was the reason for placing the topic of quality assurance and qualification of in-company training personnel in initial and continuing training at the centre of the second EQAVET peer review. In the self-assessment report, DEQA-VET presents the current situation and existing regulations in this area in order to best prepare the peers for their joint work. A joint digital pre-meeting was used to answer initial questions from the European peers and provide additional input.
The aim of the main meeting on 25 and 26 June in Bonn was to enable the peers to answer the previously agreed review questions and develop recommendations for the German side through further technical contributions and an intensive exchange.
In the next step, DEQA-VET awaits the written recommendations of the peers, the so-called feedback report. It will contain the most important feedback from the peers on the topic presented and will be published on this website.
